When and where is the market?

The first Sunday of every month from 10:00am to 1:00pm in the grounds of Gallery on Blueskin, the Waitati village green and the adjacent lane.

Do I have to book a stall?

No, you can just turn up.

But you can phone, email or Facebook message for more information.

Is there a charge?

No, the market is run by volunteers but a koha is appreciated which helps to cover costs for things like advertising, grounds maintenance, etc.

The Dunedin City Council waive the annual registration fees for community markets with less than ten food stalls.

What do I bring?

Everything you need for your stall.

A table, marquee, umbrella, a kitty with change, etc.

Please remember to remove everything your bought with you at the end of the day, including all rubbish!

When do I arrive to set up?

Around 8:00am. Market marshalls will be available to show you where to set up in an area that best suits what you’re selling from 9:00am.

The market is well under-way by 10:00am so it is best to be set up before then.

We are not allowed to set up on the roadside for safety reasons.

Be aware that  stall-holders who have set up before 9:00am without pre-booking a spot may be asked politely to move.

Our preference, and as good 'market manners' is that you maintain your stall until 1:00pm closing, even if you sell out. This prevents cars moving about the market area and creating safety hazards.

Can I sell food?

Dunedin City Council Environmental Health Regulations apply to all food stalls.

Please complete a DCC Market Food Safety Form and send it to the Council. Forms are available here: https://www.dunedin.govt.nz/services/food-stalls

and also available at the market.

Phone the DCC on 477 4000 if you want to discuss exemptions for fundraising.

Is there EftPos?

Some stalls carry EftPos but it’s best to bring cash with plenty of small change.

How can I help?

We maintain a roster of volunteers for a vafriety of roles.

Please contact us if you are interested in becoming involved.

What if its raining?

The market goes on regardless so bring a marquee, an umbrella, a plastic bag...or leave it for the following month.

Can kids and community groups have a stall?

Yes, everyone is welcome.

How do I find out more?

Visit the Blueskin Community Market Facebook page for up to date information.

Is there a phone contact to book a stall?

Yes.
