Waikouaiti

Otago's first farm which was established by Johnny Jones arround 1840. Remaining buildings include the much photographed stable and other historic farm buildings and implements.

Matanaka Farm, Waikouaiti 9510

Surveys of Matanaka Cave undertaken during 2012 confirmed it as the longest known sea cave in the world.

Based on survey work by Nicholas Barth, Matanaka Cave has been found to be an amazing 1.54 kilometers (5,051 feet) long.
